Smoot giving his recollection of David Patten’s experience. No type or form of Sasquatch is not mentioned! – “A PERSON representing himself as Cain” was. In relation to David, Spencer Kimball quotes 1John 3:15.

I know this is an area that Mormons often feel strongly about, however the Bible does not support your idea that Murder is some unforgivable sin at all.

Firstly do you realize that the Saviour said this

1 John 3:15 Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

Anyone who even hates his brother is a murderer, have you never hated anyone? How many people will be guilty of this, the standards that Jesus set are very high if you are seeking to live everything right yourself.

Also in James 2:10 we see this

For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

If you stumble in one area of Gods laws then you fall at ALL of them, here it is in scripture.

So murder is one area of the law, if you have broken any other then you are guilty of murder.

This is why my post above is so important as the Forgiveness that is on offer from the true gospel is one that welcomes all people including David and anyone else who has committed this Sin. Such as Paul who was very much involved in putting Christians to death before His conversion.

He had committed murder and adultery, two of the worst commandments of God to break and David knew he had to pay a price for that.

His next example of King David also on page 128 as unforgiven by God and still paying for his sins, is contrary to the Bible which demonstrates that David’s repentance and God’s forgiveness are sincere and complete even though David deals with the consequences of his sins throughout the remainder his life.

read there how Kimball honestly believes that Bigfoot the so called Sasquatch is actually Cain , the son of Adam cursed to roam the world for ever and then judge the worth of the rest of the man’s writings in light of that piece of twaddle.
