Thank you Joanne. If you follow the series you will learn a lot about what Mormonism teaches as opposed to what many Mormons say they believe today. I do pray his reading the manual will give him pause for reflection and give you opportunities to talk about these things.

Maybe you could expand on that mj. Why do you think we need to rely entirely on the merits of Jesus Christ?

Mormons do not believe that they can save themselves thru education and learning but rather that we rely entire on the merits of Jesus Christ as our saviour. Please do not put words in our mouths.

b-t-w, it is obvious that you have spent a lot of time looking for ways to deny Mormonism, both while you were in the church and now that you’re “out”. I think the Saviour would be more pleased with someone who spends his earthly time learn and excelling in thought and wisdom then someone who spends his time looking for reasons to condemn others beliefs. I enjoyed reading this and appreciate more what my Mormon husband will be learning this year in his church. I just noticed his new booklet, Teachings of the Presidents of the Church, Lorenzo Snow, in his office . . . then on saw your Facebook comments about it!
